South Australia’s food and wine is world class, with the State being renowned for distinctive products that are sustainably produced in a pristine, ‘green and clean’ environment.
Discerning customers know that wine and seafood from South Australia’s regions are simply ‘the best’ in the world.
We export nearly $4 billion worth of food and wine annually, with these industries employing one in five South Australians and contributing $14 billion towards the State’s economy.
Our food and wine industries are supported in their growth by the Government of South Australia. Our Food Plan 2007-2010 aims to increase the value of the State’s finished foods by 8 per cent a year and the goal for our wine industry, through Wine: A Partnership 2005-2010, is to grow the value of production to $3.1 billion a year.
The South Australian food and wine businesses highlighted in this publication are innovative leaders that excel in their fields and have rich and exciting stories to tell.
I encourage you all to discover more about South Australia’s fine food and wine.
